This cluster produces advanced inter-disciplinary research in two, linked and overlapping areas: theories and histories of culture and society in the modern and post-modern periods; and critical cultural practices in changing urban situations. It operates at the levels of post-doctoral research, doctoral study (M Phil/PhD), and post-graduate study (MA, MRes).
