Master of Cultural Studies (diploma in Theory of Culture at the Wrocław University), postgraduate in Film, Theatre and TV Production at the National School of Film, Television and Theatre in Łódź (PWSFTviT). Programme Director of the International Media Art Biennale WRO since 1997. Founder of the WRO Art Center Foundation. Editor of media art-related publications (e.g. From Monument to Market. Video Art and Public Space, 2005, Józef Robakowski. Energetic Images, 2007, WRO Media Art Reader. From Absolute Cinema to Future Film, 2009). Lecturer in media art at Wroław University’s Institute of Cultural Studies.

Co-author and producer of over two hundred TV programmes discussing the issues and events connected with contemporary media art and culture, broadcast by the Polish TV on the TVP 2 and TVP Kultura channels. Expert in information society culture at the Council’s of Europe conferences, such as New Space for Culture and Society (Prague 1996), Towards a European Media Culture From Practice to Policy (Amsterdam 1997), Hybrid Discourse (Plymouth 2002). Co-ordinator of international symposia and conferences, including Geo/Info Territory (1997), Mediation/Medialization (2000), Globalica (2003). Member of the jury and participant in Transitio_mx (Mexico 2005). Arts Link scholarship fellow of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (1995), British Council scholarship holder (1993). Member of the European Journal of Higher Arts Education committee.

Awarded by the Chairman’s of Cinematography Committee Prize (1991) and Wrocław Mayor’s Culture Award (1998).
